Tanzania: Judiciary's Credibility Put Under Scrutiny

The Court of Appeal overturns over half of convictions and sentences passed by lower courts upon their being challenged at the highest court in the land, The Citizen on Sunday has established.This has raised concern about the credibility of the Judiciary in guaranteeing justice, with some legal experts saying the possibility of people languishing in jail for offences they did not commit cannot be ruled out.
